Adaptive Wake up Animation
The unlocking animation has undergone through some serious subtle changes. You will now notice a fade in effect while unlocking your device accompanied with a glow. As soon as you’ll lock your device it will instantly fade away.
Less Time to turn Display OFF
iOS 11 is not just power packed with tons of features but it’s way faster than ever. If compared to the previous versions of iOS it is found that the time taken to shut off the display is comparatively lesser.

Wiggle Mode via Reachability
If you ever miss the wiggle effect on iOS 11 then place your finger on the home button to enter reachability mode. Here you can easily move your favorite applications here and there which you previously couldn’t.
No More Reachability in Notifications
iOS 11 no longer allows you to access notifications in Reachability mode. Previously you could simply pull down the notification bar and access notifications easily, but iOS 11 will no longer support this gesture.

Battery Icon Updated for Settings 3D Touch
Well, we’re not sure how many of you previously noted this change. Earlier, while using the previous versions of iOS 3D tapping on Settings icon would always display a drained battery icon even if the device was fully charged. Thankfully now that has been taken care of! iOS 11 has updated the battery icon displaying the accurate levels of battery status.
Spotlight Search Interface Changed
iOS 11 has gone through a minor change and revamped the Spotlight’s search bar. The magnifying glass is a bit smaller and the width of the search bar has also been reduced. The size of the dictation icon is also smaller now!
iOS 11 Requires Less Storage to Run
Yes, here comes the good news—especially for those who have devices with less storage compatibility. iOS 11 comparatively takes up less storage space to execute. As you can see in the above snapshot you’ll save about 0.4 Gigabytes space while opting iOS 11.

iOS 11 Forces Apps to Require Location Services “While Using App”
iOS 11 has aimed to improve security by embedding this new feature. Previously some apps only provided us with two location options viz Never and Always. But with iOS 11 you’ll now be able to choose an additional option called “While using App” to add an extra layer of security to your device.
Frequent Locations now Require Touch ID and Passcode
A big sigh of relief for those who have nosy people in their lives! Now the Frequent locations option in Location services requires a touch ID authentication or passcode to view it.
Background App Refresh via “Wi-Fi Only” Option
With iOS 11 you can now save a considerable amount of battery space on your device. You have now got full control over which method you pick while enabling the Background App Refresh feature.
