Those that have gotten to the end probably have a lot of questions since, despite being such a huge title, Biomutant leaves a lot of things up in the air. These are ten mysteries and plot holes that, if answered, would have made the game even better. Hopefully, they’ll be expanded upon with some DLC or a sequel.
10 Why Don’t The Animals Speak In A Human Language?
In Biomutant, many animals have evolved, gaining human-like characteristics. They have even created their own language that many different species use to communicate.
However, considering how much the animals have learned about humans and the fact that they didn’t use this language before they evolved, it seems like it would have been more realistic and easier if they had learned to communicate through a dialect that already exists.
9 Why Were Cars And Buildings Destroyed But Not Other Things Humans Built?
Throughout the game, players will find many buildings that have been destroyed and vehicles that are crushed, along with many other things that were created by humans.
However, there are a lot of other things that are much less significant that still stand, years after humanity went extinct, such as utility poles and transmission towers. How are they still standing?
8 What Happened To Lupa-Lupin’s Father?
Lupa-Lupin is one of the most important characters in Biomutant, serving as the main antagonist. When players learn about his backstory, they find out that the protagonist’s mother had killed Lupa-Lupin’s mother when the antagonist was an innocent child.

Lupa-Lupin tells the protagonist that he was orphaned, but never goes into detail on what happened to his father, who also wasn’t seen through the flashback of the mother’s death. There are many possibilities as to what could have happened to him, and not even Lupa-Lupin may know the truth.
7 Why Did Lupa-Lupin’s Mother Hunt?
The reason the protagonist’s mother killed Lupa-Lupin’s parent was due to the fact the latter was a hunter. Though this could definitely be seen as an evil act by the other animals, she may have needed to do so in order to survive.
Whether that’s the case or if she had a more sinister reason to hunt is a mystery, making it so players don’t know if Lupa-Lupin’s mother was a villain or a misunderstood character that simply did what she needed to.
6 What Happened To Lupa-Lupin After His Mother Died?
Many years pass between the time Lupa-Lupin witnessed his mother’s death to when he got his revenge, but Biomutant doesn’t reveal what happened to him during that time. Due to how important he is, it’s quite disappointing that most of Lupa-Lupin’s story remains a mystery by the end of the game.
Because fans already want a second installment, it would be interesting to play as Lupa-Lupin and learn everything about him that wasn’t revealed in Biomutant.
5 What Are The Creatures Inside Of The Ark?
Out-of-Date’s Ark is another important part of the game that has a lot of mystery surrounding it. He and six other characters are able to leave the planet using it at the end of the game. However, if players look inside of the Ark, they’ll find some strange creatures in pods.

These creatures look like a demonic hybrid between a dog and a pig, and could have certainly played some type of role in the game’s plot. But by the end of Biomutant, what they are and why they’re in the Ark is still unknown, raising more questions than answers about what Out-of-Date worked on.
4 How Did Dark And Light Come Into Existence?
Dark and Light are two small creatures that serve as the protagonist’s mortality system and allow players to decide whether they want to be evil or good. Despite them making many appearances throughout Biomutant, these characters aren’t needed for player choice to have an impact on the world or story, as seen in many other games that emphasize this type of feature.
Dark and Light simply make the decision-making a little more fun. Although Biomutant is better with these creatures in it, it would have been nice to know more about them and if every character in this universe has a Dark and Light conscience.
3 What Would Happen To The World Eaters If The Planet Was Destroyed?
Besides Lupa-Lupin, the world eaters are the other main antagonists in the game. Players needed to stop them from destroying the world. But if the world eaters weren’t beaten, they probably would have died with the planet, unless they could survive in space.
Because of that, it’s strange that creatures created to destroy the planet were born on that world in the first place.
2 Why Did The Characters Use The Ark After Saving The World?
The Ark was created by Out-of-Date so he, along with six others, could live on if the world was destroyed. However, even if players are able to save the planet and the animals in it, the Ark is still used.
If Out-of-Date and the others were going to leave anyway, they could have spent their remaining time in the world making improvements to the Ark to try and save other animals. Also, it’s strange that they decide to leave everything behind seconds after becoming heroes that would have most likely had better lives if they had chosen to stay.
1 Where Does The Ark Go?
One of the biggest questions that fans had at the end of the game was where the Ark would go. Due to how little they know about Biomutant’s universe, many people want a sequel to take place on a second planet that the Ark would go to.
Whether it be a futuristic version of an already existing planet or one that the developers create, it would be great to know how the protagonist and their friends’ stories continue.
