Their favorite shows ending? That’s never a piece of good news for the fans. However, it also brings along some positives. It allows the audience to catch up on other shows they haven’t had time for, and the actors get the opportunity to move on and portray new intriguing roles. All in all, the fact that all TV shows end doesn’t always have to be a bad thing.
10 Atypical, Netflix Original
Netflix has a lot of excellent TV shows aimed at the young audience, but not so much that it wouldn’t be a shame when one of them ends. Atypical focuses on a young man on the autism spectrum and his complicated family and love life. The series will end with its fourth season. It’s possible that the final season will show how Sam (Keir Gilchrist) deals with college and other problems.
8 Grace And Frankie, Netflix Original
In a pile of sitcoms focused on teenagers and twenty-somethings, Grace and Frankie always felt like a breath of fresh air. The show was originally supposed to end in 2020 but it got postponed due to COVID-19. As a result, the final seventh season of the show should premiere sometime in 2021. Grace and Frankie will have other adventures together, showing that enemies can become inseparable if the circumstances are just right. The show streams on Netflix.
7 His Dark Materials, HBO Original
Unlike some other fantasy shows that ran for a long time and drew inspiration from book series, His Dark Materials will end soon. Based on the book franchise by Philip Pullman, the show takes the audience into a world full of wonders.

As the main heroine, Lyra, discovers the world, so do the viewers. She learns more about how her world works just before plummeting into an entirely different one. The series featured many strong performances from both upcoming and well-established actors. It runs on HBO and its third season will be the last.
6 The Kominsky Method, Netflix Original
Any aspiring or active actor could enjoy The Kominsky Method - a story of a friendship between an actor and his agent. Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin star as the two main characters who like to bicker and argue, but when the need arises, they would both put their hand into a fire for the other one. The second season aired in 2019 and the final one will premiere this year on Netflix. However, unlike in the previous two seasons, Alan Arkin won’t appear in the third one.
5 Lucifer, Netflix Original (Formerly Fox)
4 Shameless, Showtime Original
Sitcoms often air much longer than TV shows of other genres. When they work with a large number of characters, the possibilities are almost endless. The creators can keep coming up with new and interesting stories. However, Shameless proves that nothing lasts forever.

The audience presumed the tenth season would be the last one, but instead, the show will end with the eleventh season. The final season premiered last December on Showtime.
3 Supergirl, The CW Original (Formerly CBS)
The Arrowverse has multiple superhero shows, but Supergirl fans will still miss the show. It was the first show centered on a female superhero, followed only by the recent Stargirl. Supergirl will be the second Arrowverse TV show that will end, right after Arrow that kickstarted the universe. The show aired for five seasons on The CW, and the sixth season will be the last one. However, it’s quite possible that Melissa Benoist’s Kara Danvers (a.k.a. Supergirl) could sometimes appear in other shows. For example, she could make a cameo in her cousin’s upcoming show Superman & Lois that will premiere in February 2021.
2 Black Lightning, The CW Original
Another Arrowverse superhero show that will meet its ending in 2021 is Black Lightning. But unlike Supergirl, Black Lightning was only loosely linked to the rest of the fictional universe. As such, it mostly stood on separate grounds. Jefferson Pierce only met the other superheroes in the crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths. The show’s fourth and final season has already started airing on The CW. However, fans of the show will be happy to hear that a spin-off show is in the works. The upcoming show will focus on Khalil Payne (a.k.a. Painkiller), played by Jordan Calloway.
1 Younger, TV Land Original
Multiple sitcoms will leave the television screens this year. One of them is Younger, one of the longest-running originals on TV Land. Sutton Foster played the 40-year-old Liza who pretends to be 27 in order to get a job in publishing. The show will conclude with its seventh season this year. The good news is that the fans who like Hilary Duff’s character Kelsey Peters might, in time, get a spin-off show focused on Kelsey.
